How to extinguish the fire in a RETI Fire?
To safely extinguish the fire within your RETI Fire fireplace, use a non-flammable object, such as a ceramic or cork drink coaster to gently slide across the fireplace's surface, covering the "fire pit" or insert cup. This action effectively cuts off the oxygen supply, promptly extinguishing the flames.
-
What kind of fuel can I use?
Isopropyl alcohol, commonly referred to as rubbing alcohol, is versatile and available in both 70% and 91% concentrations, or you can even create a custom blend of the two. You'll find it readily accessible at budget-friendly prices in major retailers like Walmart, Target, and Walgreens, as well as most grocery stores. This clean-burning fuel leaves no smoke or lingering scent in its wake, making it an ideal choice for various applications.
-
How long does it burn?
The fire burns for about 45 minutes to one hour.
-
How long does the top of the fireplace stay hot?
The fireplace takes about 5 minutes to cool down after burning. The top of the fireplace, near the flame, gets very hot while burning.
-
Can you add essential oil to the alcohol?
If desired, we recommend adding essential oil to the rim of the base unit, not in the alcohol itself. As the RETI Fire heats up the essential oil will be dissipated out.
-
Can I cook s'mores and hotdogs over it?
Yes! Isopropyl alcohol burns cleanly, allowing you to indulge in activities like making s'mores and roasting hotdogs with RETI Fire.
Whether you choose to light your RETI Fire on your patio table for outdoor fun with the kids or on your dining room table or kitchen counter for a cozy indoor gathering, the possibilities are endless. However, it's crucial to emphasize the need for adult supervision, especially when dealing with marshmallows, as they can catch fire. It's essential to have responsible adults present to oversee the safe preparation and cooking of s'mores.
